Shimirimana Eliya, BSDH, RDH, is a board-certified dental hygienist with approximately three years of experience in dental hygiene and public health. He is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and remains committed to staying current with advancements in the dental field to best serve his patients.
Shimirimana earned his undergraduate degree from Centenary College of Louisiana and later completed a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. His clinical interests include preventive dental care and periodontal disease management, and he enjoys working closely with patients to develop personalized care plans that support long-term oral health.
He has been actively involved in the dental hygiene community, serving with the Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association as a delegate and co-treasurer and previously participating with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. Shimirimana also contributes to global oral health efforts through organizations such as Beauty Out of Dust and A.C.T. Africa, helping provide dental care to underserved communities.
Outside of clinical practice, Shimirimana is passionate about community outreach, volunteering, and health education initiatives. He travels annually with nonprofit organizations to deliver dental care to underserved populations in Africa, Asia, and Jamaica. In his free time, Shimirimana enjoys reading, spending time with family, and watching soccer.
