HHM Health stands steadfast in its commitment to combatting the opioid overdose epidemic through a multifaceted approach.We provide a comprehensive range of services, including counseling, prevention efforts, and improved access to care for individuals struggling with opioid use disorder, aiming to tackle the underlying causes of opioid misuse and overdose. As a beacon of hope in the fight against this pressing public health crisis, HHM Health is dedicated to fostering a safer and healthier environment for all of Collin, Denton, Dallas, and Tarrant counties.
The Overdose Trainer Pilot Program is a grant opportunity from SAMHSA which is the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration organization who works to end homelessness among people with mental health and substance use disorders. SAMHSA provides millions of dollars in grants annually to grantees who work in vulnerable populations to address health disparities. Our grant provides training for providers and families who have dealt with persons who use illicit substances and may have overdosed or have the potential to overdose by training in Narcan and CPR administration. Cohorts one and two began July 10th and July 17th. Cohort participants must attend the program for six months. After program completion the participant will receive a certificate of completion as a Trainer which is renewable every two years.
Join HHM Health, the leader in professional training, with our Train the Trainer program designed for Community Based Organizations’ and Healthcare Personnel. Commit to a six-month training via virtual, in-person, or hybrid sessions held once per month. Upon completion, receive a certificate valid for two years.
Trainers will implement learned tools in their workplace and community, participating in follow-up cohorts. Our training is free. Materials provided by HHM Health behavioral health. Limited to twenty-five members per cohort. Don’t miss this opportunity!
